    | July 2003, Paris Another night, another launch or Muttdate Update! After all the cine activity at the Cannes Film Festival it was time to turn to a more personal project - my debut as a columnist in Dogs' Quarterly magazine.  The magazine had already launched in London, and I put to good word out on the Cannes Croisette, but back in the French capital it was time to pop the champers, or in this case a specially devised Courvoisier Canine Cocktail, for the launch of DQ. The venue we chose was the super hip Andy Wahloo bar, into which, around 50 of my closest Parisian friends crammed, to get an advance peek at The Dog Glossy. Aside from covergirl Jodie Kidd and stars Jane Birkin, Lou Doillon and Spike Lee, there was my few penn'th. Modest to a fault I can still say that the double page snap of moi and Tilda Swinton plus a two page column, lifting the lid on my private side did lift the mag mix. Not only did the contents of the magazine have that extra special M-touch but the event itself saw me putting myself around bigtime. The charming Jean Albert came along with his little lady Bonnie, 5 months if she is a day (20 something in Dog years I reckon!), and as you can see from the photos we make a smashing couple!
